Allen White

Allen William White, 87, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away on December 7, 2025.

Allen was an amateur HAM radio operator, he loved to communicate and learn all he could about them. Throughout his working years, he built a reputation as a dependable and skilled man-spending many years in automotive paint and body work, driving a wrecker, and even working offshore. Wherever he went, Allen was known for his work, and his outspoken opinion

While serving in the U.S. Air Force and stationed at Chennault, Allen met the love of his life, Dorothy Marie Jenkins. The two shared more than 50 years of marriage until her passing in 2008. Their bond was strong, and losing her was one of the greatest heartbreaks of his life.

In time, Allen found cherished companionship once again with Ms. Amanda Strickland, with whom he spent ten meaningful years.

Allen was an avid hunter, especially when it came to deer, and he loved nothing more than time spent outdoors.

He is survived by his sons Larry White and James White; grandchildren Sabrina White and Samantha Cormier (Derek); and great-grandchildren Hunter Johnson and Kenneth Cormier.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of over fifty years, Dorothy Marie White, and his dear companion, Amanda Strickland.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, with a graveside service at Consolata Cemetery on Friday December 12, 2025 at 2:00pm.
