Alma Marie "Almarie" Miller

Lake Charles – Alma Miller, 92, passed away in a local hospital Tuesday, May 26, 2015.
A native of Boise, Idaho, she was born on November 29, 1922 to the late Jesse and Bertha (Hampton) Houghtaling. She married the late McNeil Miller and later moved to the Lake Charles area. Alma was a member of the Iowa 1st United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting and cross stitch.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca Guillot (Buddy) of Lake Charles, Melissa LeBouef (John) of Lacassine, Jean McNabb (Danny) of Lubbock, TX and Rod Miller (Tanya) of Lake Charles; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her spouse, McNeil Miller; grandson, D. J. LeBouef; sister, Evelyn Parker and parents.
Funeral services will be in Johnson &Brown Funeral Home on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Doug Ezell officiating. Burial will follow in LeFranc Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. and resume on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
