Alton Bert Clark

Alton Bert Clark, 74, of Lake Charles passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 in his residence.

Mr. Clark was born on December 7, 1942 in Dequincy, LA and was raised in Starks, LA where he was a graduate of Starks High School. He had resided in the Lake Charles area for the past 25 years. Mr. Clark was known as a jack of all trades who had the ability to do anything asked or required of him.

He will be remembered for his generous, kind heart. Mr. Clark enjoyed reading but most important to him were his children and grandchildren, whom he was very dedicated to and involved in their lives.

Those left to cherish his memory are five children, David Wayne Clark (Robin) of Lake Charles, Michelle Sanchez (Geno) of Moss Bluff, Theresa Drouant (Brett) of Sulphur, Tracy Schuler (Lance) of St. Louis, MO and David Wade Clark (Chasity) of Moss Bluff; his last surviving sibling, Paul Clark of Starks; seven grandchildren, Meaghan Clark, Taylor Smith (Matthew), Waycee Simonds, Brady Schuler, Noah Schuler, Adleigh Clark, and Aubree Clark; five great grandchildren; and his Chihuahua companion, Cissie Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Verna Dean and Victor Clark; his wife, Sandra “Sandy” Clark; and five siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Charles Manuel will officiate. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery in Starks, LA. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
