Andrew Garofolo

Andrew Benjamin Garofolo, born to Paul and Shanna on March 10, 1995, passed away on December 15, 2016 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Andrew was a member of the 2012 graduating class of Sulphur High School and earned his Associate Degree in Instrumentation/Electrical at Sowela Technical Institute.  Most recently, Andrew worked as a Laboratory Technician with Camin Cargo in Port Arthur, Texas.  Andrew was enrolled at McNeese State University to pursue his dream of becoming an electrical engineer.

Andrew loved all types of shooting sports and was a true gun enthusiast.  He enjoyed hunting as long as it did not involve getting up too early.  Evening hunts were his favorite.

Probably his most memorable trait was the fact that he never stopped learning.  He would spend hours at a time, not watching television or playing video games, but educating himself – reading constantly.  He was fascinated with learning.

Andrew loved animals, especially cats.  At an early age he could be found volunteering his time at the Hobo Hotel For Cats, in Lake Charles.  The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to the Hobo Hotel For Cats.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
