Andrew "Drew" Bryce Thibodeaux, 40, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Drew was born on May 9, 1986, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Mitchell Paul Thibodeaux and Paige Elizabeth Nelson Barrentine.
Drew graduated from Barbe High School before attending SOWELA Technical Community College, where he studied welding, working as a welder for several years.
A big kid at heart, Drew was an avid collector whose interests ranged from Sports Cards to Hot Wheels. His enthusiasm for the things he loved was contagious. Whether he was adding to his collections or watching a basketball game, he embraced life with a youthful spirit that brought smiles to those around him. Drew was full of life and had a gift for making everyone around him smile. He had the biggest heart, never leaving a room without saying, "I love you". He cherished every moment spent with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Mitchell Paul Thibodeaux (Letha) and Paige Nelson Barrentine (Jimbo); his siblings, Magen Savario (Nick); Mitch Thibodeaux Jr.; Ryan Browne (Summer); Kali Babineaux (Seth). Many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins; and his beloved dogs, Snoop and Zee.
Drew was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Elzada Nelson, and his paternal grandparents, Remy Thibodeaux (survived by his wife, Bobbie) and Virginia Gautreaux.
Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
