Angelica B. Palmer, 43, of Lake Charles, passed away on November 14, 2025, surrounded by her family. Angelica was a courageous woman, radiant with life, joy, and purpose.
Born and raised in Mexico, Angelica excelled from a young age. She was a chemical engineer, highly successful in her field, and admired for her intelligence and drive. It was on a job site in Mexico that she met the love of her life, Tobin, who became not only her husband but her greatest partner and best friend. Angelica often expressed how deeply she admired Tobin-his willingness to embrace new challenges, his dedication to their family, and the life they built together.
Over the course of their marriage, Angelica and Tobin lived in many different states and were blessed with opportunities to travel extensively for work. No matter where life took them, Angelica carried her heritage, her faith, and her passions with her.
Angelica was a renowned Zumba instructor, known for her energy, talent, and love of dancing. Wherever she moved, she would find a place to teach-and her classes were always filled with joy, laughter, and movement. Her love for dance was woven into every part of her life.
Angelica was also a phenomenal cook, embracing and celebrating her Mexican heritage through the food she shared with others. As a Spanish teacher at Hamilton Christian School, she blended her talents beautifully bringing culture to the classroom, and even teaching her students to cook a variety of dishes almost every week. Her influence enriched the school, touching the hearts of both students and faculty.
Angelica was a woman of deep, unwavering faith. She and her family were faithful members of Church of the King in Lake Charles, where her spiritual strength, kindness, and generosity were deeply felt by all who knew her.
Above all else, Angelica was a proud and devoted wife and mother. Her family was her greatest joy. She loved to give of herself freely, especially to Tobin, Maximus, and Mia, who were her pride and her heart.
Angelica is survived by her loving husband of sixteen years, Tobin Palmer; their cherished children, Maximus and Mia Palmer; her mother, Carla; and her brothers, Carlos and Enrique.
She is preceded in death by her father, Angel, and her precious dog, Milo.
Angelica also leaves behind her beloved students and the entire faculty of Hamilton Christian School, who mourn the loss of a teacher, mentor, and friend.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Angelica's life will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Christian Academy in Lake Charles. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and continue until the start of the service.
