Angeline Cosby-Davis, 85, of Lake Charles passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 in her son’s residence.
Angeline was born on November 14, 1932 to Roscoe Roy and Ida Madeline Cosby. After graduating from Catholic University of America with a BS in Nursing, she began a long career in the health care field. This included working for public health, VA clinic and hospitals. Upon completion of her Master’s Degree from TWU, she dedicated many years to teaching at various university nursing programs until she retired from her professorship at McNeese State University. After retiring, she enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, dancing, and playing games like “Cadillac” with friends and family.
She will be remembered for her warm smile and mischievous spirit and her homemade rolls.
Cherishing her memories is her husband, Jack Davis; her children, Cathi and her husband Robert, Mary, Andy and his wife Marge, and Martha and her husband Jimmy; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Fr. Roy Cosby; and sisters, Elizabeth Cosby and Sr. Lucille Cosby.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Fr. Trey Ange will officiate along with Fr. Jorge Dinguis and Dc. Ignacio Panuco. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin with a rosary being recited at 10:00 AM and continue until leaving for the church at 11:00 AM.
