Anita Louise (Bourque) Smith

Anita Louise (Bourque) Smith, born in Lake Charles on December 8, 1946, daughter of the late Eddie Bourque and Georgette (Smith) Bourque, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, at the age of 76.
Anita attended St. Margaret Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of kids at Nee Nee’s Day Care, and anything needed for her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Smith, Sr.; George “Bubba” Smith, Jr.; siblings, Eddie Bourque, Jr., and Mable Trahan.
Anita is survived by her sons, Michael Smith (Mindy), and Karel Smith; grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell, Triston, and Mason.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Church, Friday, December 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. Rev. Rojo Antony, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Thursday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 5:00 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary at 6:30 p.m., and will resume Friday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in her service are Matthew, Mitchell, Scotty, Triston, Mason, and Mike Smith.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living and Heart of Hospice for taking excellent care of Anita.
