Anita Cormier

Iowa – Anita Cormier, 74, passed away in a local care facility, Sunday, April 17, 2016.

Anita was born on June 12, 1941 in Arnaudville to the late Alton and Mary Schexnider Mason. She worked for St. Landry Bank and Washington State Bank in various capacities. Anita was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and was an excellent cook.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 26 years, Bennie Cormier; step-sons, Perry Cormier and Lowell Cormier (Sherry); sister, Barbara Begnaud (Robert) and numerous nieces and nephews. Her son, Darren Paul Fisett; sister, Gwen Moss and parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Father Andreas Kedati officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service with a rosary at 10:30 a.m.
