Iowa– Anna Lou Marcantel Fontenot, 90, passed away in her residence on Wednesday, October 29, 2014.
Anna was born in LeBleu Settlement on November 17, 1923 to the late Goldman and Vevia LeBleu LeDoux. She was a member of the CFMA, VFW, St. Margaret and St. Raphael Catholic Church. Anna was employed by TG&Y and held many administrative positions for volunteer groups. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crocheting, cooking and dancing.
She is survived by her children, Allen Ray Marcantel (Gaylon) of Hermitage, AR, Joseph “Joey” Hampton Marcantel (Cathy) of Sulphur, Vera Lou Marcantel Serice of Sulphur and Marcus Kevin Marcantel (Martha) of Iowa; siblings, Fred LeDoux (Nora Lee) of Vidor, TX and Violet Cassidy of Owensboro, KY. Anna is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Joseph Allen Marcantel, 2nd spouse, Percy Joseph Fontenot and brothers, James & Marvin LeDoux.
