Anna Lois Smythe

Iowa – Anna Lois Smythe, a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, born in Lake Charles on April 26, 1935, daughter of the late Joseph and Mamie (LeBleu) Breaux, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at age 87.
Anna’s dream was to be a wonderful mother, and that she was. Her children “rise up and call her blessed.” She loved the unlovable and always made sure to make everyone feel at home.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Asa “Sonny” Breaux.
Survivors are her husband, Clarence Smythe; children, Dennis Savoy, Brenda Savoy Busby (Jerry), and Eva Savoy Lee; 5 step-children from a previous marriage; sister, Ava Hood (Paul); 11 grandchildren, Tanya, Brandie, Kim, Elray, Chasity, Ashley, Misty, Josh, Justin, Cameron, and Caleb; 21 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren, with 2 on the way.
Memorial services will be held in Grace Harbor Lighthouse on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 5 p.m. with Rev. Rick Batchelor officiating. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. A gathering of friends and family begins in the church from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
