Iowa - Anthony McGee, 53, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Sulphur on July 2, 1964 to the late Wallace and Hazel Pousson McGee, Anthony was a graduate of Iowa High School and McNeese State University.
Anthony was self- employed as a landscaper and made so many homes and businesses beautiful with his craft. He loved deer hunting with his son and was a proud supporter of all of John Luke’s sporting events.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Julie Thibodeaux McGee; son, John Luke Durel McGee; sister, Debbie Brucker; father and mother-in-law, Ferdinand & Ruby Thibodeaux; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lacassine, Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Father Rojo Antony, Father Roland Vaughn and Father John Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation is Wednesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a Cursillo rosary at 6:30 p.m. and will resume Thursday from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
