Armerie Louise Fielder

Armenie Louise Fielder, 90, of Lake Charles passed away at 11:55 PM on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Fielder was a devoted wife and mother who will be missed dearly.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Barbara Newman (Raleigh) and Gwen Vaughn; granddaughter, Kim Melton; grandson, Jack Melton (Sharon); great grandchildren, Clay, Katie, and Kristen Melton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Benoit; husband, Leon Fielder; siblings, Alcide, Philip, and Felcian Benoit, Gladys Wood, Nita Landry, Lelia Quibodeaux, Lunia Mouton, and Nelia Benoit; and son in law, Bill Vaughn.

A private graveside service was held at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Grand Cove Nursing Home and also to Mrs. Fielder’s care givers for 10 years of wonderful care and love.
