Arthur "Buddy" Lee Doucet

LeBleu Settlement – Arthur “Buddy” Lee Doucet, born September 7, 1943, son of the late Lenton and Ada (LeBleu) Doucet, passed away in his residence, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the age of 79.
Buddy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed trading with all his buddies, tinkering with lawn mowers, fishing, hunting, visiting with friends and family. Buddy always had a smile and never met a stranger.
Survivors are his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Self Doucet; son, Joey Doucet (Belinda); granddaughters, Sandy Landry (Joseph), Samantha Doucet; sister, Lottie LeBleu; nephews, Terry LeBleu (Leslie), Ross Self (June), Keith Self (Gail), David Self, Mark Self (Lisa), Brian Self (Melisa); niece, Tammy LeBleu Trahan; and many great nieces and nephews; his beloved pet Chloe.
Buddy is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debra Doucet.
Funeral services are Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, Bro. Alan Weishampel, celebrant. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will resume on Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
