Aspaize Dianna Meche
June 5, 1946 — September 12, 2018
Aspaize Dianna Meche, age 72, completed her earthly journey on September 12, 2018 and is reunited with her soulmate once more. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her children, grandbabies, and great-grandbabies.
Dianna was born June 5,1946 in Crowley, LA to Rose Mae Schexnyder and Antoine Aucoin. She attended school in Crowley where she met Jean Noah Meche, Sr., the street car racer that cost her a car hood and who would eventually steal her heart. Dianna and Jean married on Nov. 28, 1964. Dianna and Jean shared in the joy of the births of their six children and raised them in Iowa, LA where they resided. They would spend 40 years together surrounded by their children and grandchildren.
Dianna was a loving Christian, amazing mother, and nurturing caregiver, which was evident in how she lived her life. She loved God and shared his word with multitudes of others throughout her life. Family was her life and caring for others came naturally to Dianna. Even as a young girl, Dianna was caregiver to her terminally ill grandmother, then cared for her own mother who suffered from lung cancer. She again became primary caregiver to her soulmate for the last eight years of his life after he suffered multiple strokes. The last time she would take on this role, it would be to care for her eldest child who suffered from heart disease and stroke.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jean Noah “Mannie” Meche, Jr., of Lake Charles, Melissa Kim Gray of New Roads, Kimberly Regina Huseman and husband, George of Brownwood, Texas, Jason Gerard Meche of Iowa, and Kerry Rachelle Champagne and husband, Robert of Iowa; 7 grandchildren, Jacqueline Mix and husband Jeremy of New Roads, Kristen Meche of Lake Charles, Luke Meche of Hoboken, Georgia, Adam Huseman and wife Yupada “Yu”, Cody Huseman and wife Destiny Champagne-Huseman, all of Brownwood, Texas, Elizabeth Heisz, and 3 great-grandchildren: Wipada “Cream” Huseman, Ross Mix, and Avery Ardoin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jean Noah Meche, Sr.; parent; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Meche Walls and granddaughter, Morgan Blair Meche.
It is never goodbye...only until we meet again.
