Aza Mae Lavergne, 91, of Westlake died at 7:25 AM on Thursday, November 3, 2011 in her residence.
Mrs. Lavergne was born on January 5, 1920 in Welsh, LA. She was a member of Church of Christ.
Mrs. Lavergne was a loving mother and grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Robert LeBert and wife Terry of Westlake; one daughter, Barbara Nevils and husband Donald of Westlake; two brothers, Lalton Arabie and wife Lillie Mae of Lake Charles and Louis Arabie and wife Juanita of Gillis; two sisters, Nola Lasyone and husband Grady of Lake Charles and Betty Fontenot of Moss Bluff; eight grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Harry LeBert; her second husband, Odell Lavergne; and two sisters, Nioma Spell and Evanna Lambert.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, November 6, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at Black Bayou Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 PM and will continue on Sunday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
