Barbara Ann Comeaux Hand

Barbara Ann Comeaux Hand, 79, of Carlyss passed away at 10:58 AM, Friday, May 7, 2021 in her residence. She was a native of Jennings, born to Eldridge and Nanette Comeaux living in the Sulphur area most of her life. Mrs. Hand was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Hand of Carlyss; five daughters, Jessie Burnworth and husband Dewey of Sulphur, Rochelle Ericson of Westlake, Roxanne Machost and husband Dennis of Royse City, TX, Karen Hand of Sulphur, and Jerry Dale Lefort and husband Dr. Troy Lefort of Lake Charles; three sons, Martin Hand and wife Karen of Carlyss, Billy Hand and wife Susan of Ragley, LA, and Doug Ericson and wife Lesli of Lake Charles; two sisters, Tunie Credeur and Dale Richert and Dr. Allen Richert; twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Damon Ericson; sisters, Nell Richard, Phil Jones, DeeDee Bonin; and brothers, Burt and Diz Comeaux.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 10, 2021 in St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss. Fr. Luke Krzanowski, MS will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM, and continue Monday, from 8:30 AM until departing for the church at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur.
