Barbara Ann Uhlik

Barbara Ann Uhlik, 80, passed away on October 29, 2018.

Mrs. Uhlik was born in Jennings, LA and was in the Jennings High School class of 1956. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Jennings. She enjoyed keeping a tidy home and going dancing with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gerald Uhlik; two daughters, Jacqulyn Smith Young (Russell), and Naomi Kaye Morris (Steve Fullington); son, Kenneth Wade Smith; stepson, Dave Uhlik; sister, Alice Villnerve; two brothers, J.C. Suire, and Ray Suire; six grandchildren, Jason Young (Andrea), Jimmy Morris (Samantha), Aimee Hebert (Keno), Kari Young, Desiree Kerry (Justin), and Ethan Smith; and eleven great-grandchildren, Tanner, Gavin, Dyllan, Brady, Collyne, Mickaela, Huntlee, Holden, Evan, Blayson, and Colvin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Exile and Mamie Suire; two sisters, Germaine Suire, and Mary Mamie Suire; and brother, Hubert “Boo” Suire.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3 at 11AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Barry Doucet will officiate. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Saturday morning at 9AM until the start of the service.
