Barbara Ann Papillion Aubry

Barbara Ann Papillion Aubry, 69, of Lake Charles passed away at 4:47 PM on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Aubry was born on December 14, 1955, in Eunice, Louisiana, and was a proud graduate of Chatagnier High School.

In the late 1970s, she met the love of her life in Lake Charles, where they built a life and began their family. A woman of deep Catholic faith, Mrs. Aubry was a faithful and active member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, where she found strength and fellowship throughout her life.

A dedicated homemaker, Mrs. Aubry poured her heart into caring for her family. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by loved ones, whether during simple family gatherings or special celebrations.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Michael Aubry; children, Lisa Aubry (Cedric Hadnot) and Caleb Aubry; brothers, Bertman Papillion (Charlene), Craig Papillion (Sandy), and Bernell Papillion (Judy); grandchildren, Tyler and Alex Dobson; and a great grandson, Khyson Dobson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Euel Papillion and a sister, Jackie Papillion.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at St. Henry Catholic Church. Fr. Trey Ange will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until leaving for the church at 1:00 PM.
