Barbara Chapman

Barbara J. Chapman, 66, passed away in a local hospital on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.

She was born on March 17, 1954 in Stillwater, Minnesota to Winnie and Mary Lyons Fontenot. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an Administrator for Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 106 Health & Welfare for many years and was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff where she served in the children’s ministry.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Stanley Chapman; children, Kimberly LeLeux and Kristi Blankenship (Bleu); stepchildren, Stephanie Strahan (Michael) and Jason Chapman (Tabitha); 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Allen Trahan; stepmother, Edith Trahan; brothers, William “Billy” Fontenot and Daniel “Danny” Fontenot.

In compliance with current state regulations, private services will be held under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff for the immediate family only. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at a later date.
