Barbara Dawn Smith

Barbara Dawn Smith, 57, of Lake Charles, LA passed away peacefully on Monday, December 6, 2016 at a local care facility.

Barbara was born in Little Rock, AR to Joseph and Valerie Smith. She loved participating in the Special Olympics and was the recipient of the Wo-Helo award. Barbara also worked at CARC. She loved being around family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Valerie L. Smith; four brothers, A.J. Smith, Marshall Smith, Jim Smith, and Matthew Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Christopher Robin Smith; and one nephew, Nikolaus Smith.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
