Barbara Ann Fontenot Reed

Barbara Ann Fontenot Reed, born in Kinder on March 5, 1949, daughter of the late Clarence and Celia (Spears) Fontenot, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the age of 72.
A graduate of Fenton and Sowela Technical College, Barbara worked for Calcasieu Marine National Bank and the Port of Lake Charles. She and her husband, Edwin attended Fenton Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edwin Reed; sons, Darrell Wayne Reed; Darren Glenn Reed (Rhonda); daughter, Christina Reed Fontenot; brother, Bill Fontenot (Wanda); grandchildren, Jodi Fruge (Dustin); Kadie Reed; Jackie Guidry; Jacob Reed; Cameron Reed; Blake Reed; Sidney Doucette; Hayden Fontenot; Alexis Reed; Dustin Reed, and Tyler Reed.
Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Don Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery in Kinder under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will resume Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
