Barbara Jean Salvo

Barbara Jean White Salvo, 78, of Lake Charles, died Wednesday January 2, 2013 in a local care center.

She was born in Lake Charles, LA on March 21, 1935 to Jesse James (Jay) and Verna Verue White. She was a property manager, office manager and homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her beloved companion Talivaldis Talis Meijers. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are a son, Chris Salvo and wife Suzanne of Sugar Land, TX; three daughters, Brenda Jean Salvo Talley and husband John Littlefield of San Antonio, TX; Susan Salvo and husband Michael Breaux of Lake Charles; Paula Salvo Bond and husband William Bond of Leander, TX; grandchildren, Jeffery, Hayley, Samatha, Abigail, Jason, Chelsea, Christopher, Camille, Connor, and Gabriele; and great grandchild, Jack; two brothers, James White, Lake Charles; Loran White, Carlyss; and a sister, Jenel Thibodeaux, Lake Charles.

There will be a gathering of family and friends celebrating Barbara's life at Johnson Funeral Home from 12:30 to 2:00 PM on Sunday January 6, 2013.
