Barbara Ann Perry

Barbara Ann Ray Perry, 69, of Sulphur, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, in Lake Charles, surrounded by her family.

Daughter of Jack and Norma Ray, Barbara was born on November 8, 1955, in Lake Charles. She lived a full and vibrant life, remembered best as the life of the party and never without her camera.

Barbara spent 21 years as a waitress at Cracker Barrel, where she became a familiar and friendly face to many in the community. She also worked for over a decade with Life Touch Photography, capturing cherished memories for countless families.

Her family and friends were the center of her world, especially her grandchildren, and she cheered them on in everything — just as she cheered for her beloved Texas Longhorns. She was also a devoted member of Houston River Baptist Church.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Jack Kevin Perry; son, Justin (Laura) Perry; daughter, Allison (Cale) LeMaire; mother, Norma Ray; brothers, Steve (Claire) Ray, John (Jane) Ray, and Charles (Alexis) Ray; sisters, Marsha Ryan and Alysa (Mike) Guidry; grandchildren, Crysta (Noah) Taylor, Keli Perry, Grace Perry, Zander LeMaire, and Ezra LeMaire; 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Ray.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Houston River Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her team of doctors and nurses in the Intensive Care and Oncology units at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital that cared for Barbara while she was there.

Barbara leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
