Barry Scott Larocca

Barry Scott LaRocca, 53, of Lake Charles passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in his residence.

Mr. LaRocca was born on February 27, 1962 in Kinder, LA. He was a 1980 graduate of Lake Charles High School. Mr. LaRocca was a Market Basket associate for 20 years having worked at many locations. He most recently worked as a produce clerk at Wal-Mart.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are a son, Ryan LaRocca (Samantha) and their daughter, Avery Kate and son, Hunter LaRocca all of Lacassine; his parents, Benny and Betty LaRocca of Lake Charles; a brother, Ricky LaRocca (Jessica) of Moss Bluff; and nephews and niece, Blake LaRocca, Grant Gilley, and Alexis LaRocca all of Moss Bluff.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Leon and Mary LaRocca and maternal grandparents, Alton and Gussie Pousson.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Nathan Long will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 12:00 noon and continue until service time with a rosary being recited at 2:30 PM.
