Bea was born May 2, 1957 in Lake Charles, LA, where she was a lifelong resident.  She was a 1975 graduate of Barbe High School, where she was active in the Flag Corp. She attended McNeese State University, where she made straight A’s and was working towards her finance degree.  She worked at PPG (Axial) for thirty-seven years as the Supervisor of Records. She continued to work even through her treatment, retiring a year and a half ago due to her illness. Bea attended Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and more recently attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.  She had a passion for charity work which included chairing galas for the American Cancer Society, as well as the American Heart Association.  She was also a sustainer for the Junior League, but Mardi Gras always had a special place in her heart.  Bea was a very active member of the Krewe de La Famille, where she and Scot served as Captains for seven years, and was also very active with the City of Lake Charles Mardi Gras Board, serving as president for a number of years.  Mrs. Hebert also had a love for dance; she was a true ‘Disco Queen’.  She and her husband won numerous dance contests throughout the years, including a trip to Paris.  She also enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, and spending time outside in her yard.  Bea also had a love for organizing, decorating and building homes with her husband.

Mrs. Hebert is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Scot Hebert; daughter, Erin Hebert of New Orleans; mother, Betty Matte Collins of Lake Charles; sister, Joanne Collins Law and husband Steve and children, Jessica Sensat, Marlee Law and Kylie Law; sister, Lillie Collins Almaguer and husband Americo of Friendswood, TX and their son, Kyle Almaguer; brother, Eldridge Floyd Collins and wife Allison of Lake Charles and son, Tyler Collins; sister-in-law, Dana Hebert Dupin and husband Ted, their daughter, Delaney Dupin; and sister-in-law, Denise Hebert and her children.
