Iowa ~ Bennie Joe Cormier, born August 12, 1938, son of the late Napoleon and Elvie (Higginbotham) Cormier, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the of age 84.
Bennie worked for Citgo until he retired and was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. He enjoyed working in his yard and in his younger years enjoyed running.
He is survived by his sons, Perry Cormier and Lowell Cormier (Sheri); brother, Larry Cormier (Cyndi); grandchildren, Richard and Jackson; great grandson, Jaivyn; sisters-in-law, Jane Vincent, and Lois Cormier; brother-in-law, Asa Moss.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Yvonne Cormier and Tina Cormier; his parents; brothers, Ray and Dickie Cormier; sister, Betty Young.
Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service with a rosary at 10:30 a.m.
