Bennie Renee Merrill

Bennie Renee Merrill, 55, of Moss Bluff passed away at 6:00 AM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in her residence.

Mrs. Merrill was born in Houston, TX and was a resident of Moss Bluff for most of her life.  She had a passion for cooking and feeding her loved ones.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, Henry A. Merrill of Moss Bluff; children, Dusty Ketchum of McComb, MI, Kathy Hensley of Moss Bluff, Inez Dowd of Moss Bluff, and Henry Lee Merrill of Idaho; sisters, Bonnie McManus (Barry) of Topsy and Robin Sales of Lake Charles; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Ann Merrill; her mother, Inez Barnes; father, Bennie Allison; sisters, Patty Skarpa and Debbie Sherrill; and grandchildren, Mason and Aubrey Dowd.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 13, 2024 in the Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
