Benny D. Lognion, born in Bell City on February 9, 1949, son of the late Femon and Eula Guillotte Lognion, passed away in his residence, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at age 73.
Benny attended school in Bell City and was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. He worked in the oil field for 41 years. Benny enjoyed hunting, fishing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Hoffpauir Lognion; son, Rusty Lognion and wife, Amanda, daughter, Rachelle Savoy and husband, Ashley; siblings, Alvin Lognion (Juanita), Dewey Lognion (Linda), and Brenda Courville (Clifton); grandchildren, Kaeli Lognion, Jordan, Logan, and Taylor Savoy; beloved dog, Kya.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11 a.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary at 6:30 p.m., and will resume Friday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
