Bernard Anthony DiBartolo, 84, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 1:00 AM on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at a local care facility. Mr. DiBartolo was born September 7, 1930 in Lake Charles, LA, where he was a life-long resident. He was a graduate of Landry High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for Cities Service / CITGO, retiring after forty years of service. Mr. DiBartolo was a dedicated member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, where he enjoyed spending time with his friends at the monthly senior citizen dinners. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. Mr. DiBartolo is survived by his son, Chris DiBartolo and wife Chermaine of Grand Lake; daughter, Sarah DiBartolo Saxby and husband Brian of Lake Charles; brother, Tony DiBartolo, with whom he enjoyed breakfast and coffee every morning, and his wife Barbara of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Brittany Campbell and husband Carlos, Megan Saxby, Kody Willis and wife Laikin, and Jenna DiBartolo; great-granddaughter, Olivia Campbell; and one great-grandson on-the-way. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace DiBartolo; and parents, Jack and Lena DiBartolo. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 8, 2015 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Fathers Keith Pellerin and Derek Covert will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The family would like to express a special word of thanks to his hospice nurse, Brandi Bernard; sitter, Barbara "Bobbie" Kelly; and Michelle and Shanna at the Cardiac Rehab at LCMH for the care and compassion given.
