Bernice Lafleur

Mrs. Bernice M. LaFleur, 96, passed away on Monday January 31, 2022 in a care facility. 

Mrs. LaFleur was born on January 22, 1926 in Ville Platte, La to Armel and Aza Fontenot Manuel.  Bernice was a homemaker and loved her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening and was a woman of strong faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Curley John LaFleur; and a grandson, David Ryan LaFleur.  Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sheryl Farmer (David) of Moss Bluff and David LaFleur (Becky) of Big Lake; grandchildren, Shelley LeBlanc (Roger), Stephanie Fusilier and Matthew LaFleur; great grandchildren,

Tyler and Emily LeBlanc and Grace and Drew Fusilier; sibling, Emma Dupre (Roland); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff with Father Aubrey Guilbeau officiating.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff Chapel with a 6:00 p.m. Rosary. Visitation will continue on Friday from noon until the service time at the funeral home.
