Bernice Manuel Guillory, 94, of Lake Charles, LA passed away at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 24, 2017 in her current residence in Pearl River, LA.
Mrs. Guillory was born on December 2, 1922 in Basile, LA and lived most of her life in Lake Charles, LA until moving to the Slidell area 8 years ago. She was a dedicated member of St. Margaret Catholic Church where she belonged to the Altar Society, was a Catholic Daughter for 35 years, and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Caring Hearts as well as was a Eucharistic Minister.
She loved china painting and was a former member of the Porcelain Painters Club.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Judith Kemp (William) of Pearl River, LA; three sons, Kenneth Guillory (Toni) of Rio Vista, CA, John B. Guillory (Debra) of Florien, LA and Timothy Guillory (Lori) of Metairie, LA; five grandchildren, Michael, Lance, and Jeanne Kemp and Samuel and Reece Guillory; and five great grandchildren, Kenneth, Victoria, and Olivia Kemp and Madeline and Noah Plunkett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elance Guillory and her parents, Oline and Oliver Manuel.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. The Rev. Vijay will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin in the funeral home at 10:00 AM until the start of the rosary at 12:00 noon.
