Bessie M. Guillot Richard, born on April 10, 1933, daughter of the late Lionel and Lucille Ardoin, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at the age of 89.
Bessie was a longtime member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. She was a self-employed beautician.
She enjoyed camping, and spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Andrew Guillot; 2nd husband, Essie Richard; siblings, Melvin Ardoin, Sr., Wilton Ardoin, James Ardoin, Gene Ardoin, and Wilda Abbott
Survivors are her sons, Nolan Guillot (Freda), and Jimmie Guillot (Roxann); sister, Helen Boone; grandchildren, Wendee Newell (Sean); Christi Stollsteimer (Scott), Kevin Guillot, and Michael Guillot; great-grandchildren, Malloree, Toby, Kate, Scott, Abby, and Drew; great-great-grandchildren, Miles.
Funeral services will be held in St. Raphael Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 1 p.m. Rev. Anthony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Wednesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
