Betty Jean Head Ardoin

February 23, 1939 — February 13, 2022

Betty Jean (Head) Ardoin, born on February 23, 1939, daughter of the late Rudolph “Bert” and Bessie (Ward) Head, passed away in her daughter’s residence in Pineville, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the age of 82.

Betty, a graduate of Iowa High School, was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She worked at K & B Drugstore. She enjoyed sewing, working in her yard, traveling with her daughters, and being with family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Lionel James Ardoin; siblings, Wardell Head; Thelma Hart; son-in-law, Gary Randall Boone.

Survivors are her daughters, Connie Boone of Pineville; Deborah “Debbie” Ardoin of Lake Charles; Patricia “Tricia” Wade (Mike) of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Jared Randall Boone (Terri) ; Jacob Richey Boone, and Derek James Lenkowski (Sarah) ; great-grandchildren, Haidyn; Isabella; Luke; Ella; Layne; her granddogs, John Brown; Bella Boone, and Bogey.

Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Richard Louviere officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation is Thursday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will resume Friday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in her service are Jared; Jacob & Haidyn Boone; Derek & Frank Lenkowski, and Russell McNabb.
