Born July 22nd, 1950, passed into Heaven's embrace on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026. She was born in Columbus, Georgia to Elton and Mary Meche, of Sulphur, La. Those preceding her in passing are both her parents, her brothers Michael, Joe and David Meche, her husband John Riley Sartin, and her son, John Randall Sartin. She is survived by her sister Carol Albarado, Lisa Sartin-Pagan (daughter) and her husband Marty Pagan, Susan Renee Sartin-Cormier (daughter) and her husband Barry Cormier, Veta Faye Sartin (daughter) and her partner Steven Gremillion; Zachary Deshotel (grandson), Deshawn Pritchett (grandson) and his wife Jasmine Pritchett, April Deshotel (granddaughter), Mickey Pagan (granddaughter), Nicholas Sartin (grandson) and his wife Maci, Hailey Gary (granddaughter) and her husband Sean Gary, Alex Castillo (grandson); Londyn Pritchett (great granddaughter), Brody Gary (great grandson), Barry Streets (bonus son), Jenny Hammock (bonus daughter).
Betty was known by many of those closest to her as "Gran".
