Betty Stark

May 3, 1937 — January 6, 2016

Betty Stark, 78, of Lake Charles, passed away on January 6, 2015 in a local hospital, surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren. She was involved in her church ministry, as a Pastor’s wife with her husband, Bob for over 61 years and a member of The ROC Church in Sulphur. Betty enjoyed watching and feeding her red birds and loved spending time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all her family and friends.

 Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, “Bob” Stark of Lake Charles; her two daughters, Sharon “Candy” Fontenot and husband Paul of Moss Bluff and Beth Langston and husband Dave of Orange, TX; her two sons, Steve Stark and wife Julie of Lake Charles and Danny Stark  and wife Joan of Reeves, LA; two other daughters she called her own, Maria and Ethelene; 10 grandchildren, Shelly, Kelly, Brad, Dallas, Eric, Karie, Kristi, Denver, Todd and Jason; 15 great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Colby, Caleb, Onnie, Piper, Lexis, Madelyn, Laikyn, Bobbi, Dakota, Taylor, Ayla, Aidan, Daylon, and Madison; and special cousin, Tom Thrower. She was preceded in death by her parents, Onnie Skipper and Gladys Thrower Skipper.

 Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 10 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with her son, Pastor Steve Stark and Pastor Adrian Littlefield officiating. Burial will be in Rigmaiden Cemetery in DeQuincy under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 5-9 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with visitation continuing on Monday at 8 A.M. until time of the service. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dallas, Eric, Brad, Todd, Jason and Josh.
