Betty Verret

Betty Verret, born in Jennings on April 27, 1947, daughter of the late Joseph and Beulah Lopez Verret, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the age of seventy-seven.

Betty was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She worked as a sitter for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and crafting.

She is survived by her brother, Millard Verret, and wife Sandra; nephews, Randy Verret, and wife Tina, Larry Verret, and wife Maggie, Michael Verret; niece, Suk Tucker, and husband Ralph; numerous great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nason Verret; nephew, Raymond Verret.

Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Monday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Tuesday in the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
