Bettye Hyatt Tucker, 77, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Saturday September 27, 2025 at the Bonne-Vie Rehab facility in Port Arthur.
Bettye was born in Port Arthur, TX and a native of Starks, LA and Vidor, TX. She was the daughter of the late Lawernce Ray and Elizabeth Coralie Glidewell Hyatt. She was the beloved wife of the late James Harvey Tucker, who passed away on May 22, 2002. She was an x-Ray technician and anesthesia biller. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Starks for many years.
Preceding Bettye in death are her parents and husband, James Harvey Tucker and two sisters, Anna Bryant Hyatt Weidner and Sybil Marie Hyatt Johnson. She leaves to honor and cherish her memories, with her two step-daughters, Lorie Coyle and Jamie Juneau her two nieces, Cynthia Annette Johnson, Dana Johnson Ferguson, two nephews, Lawrence Ray Hyatt “Buzz”, Lee Allen Weidner and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren great nieces and nephews, cousins and too many friends to count.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 PM on Monday October 6, 2025 at the First Pentecostal Church of Starks.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 PM with the Rev. Johnathan Haygood officiating. Burial will follow alongside her beloved husband and family at Fountain Cemetery in Starks, Louisiana all under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
