Beverly Ann Landry, born in Welsh on August 13, 1942, daughter of the late Cyrus and Beulah Guillory Sonnier, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the age of eighty-one, surrounded by her loving and devoted family.
Beverly was a bus driver for the Jeff Davis Parish School Board. She and her husband, Lee Adam were members of the Cajun French Music Association and attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping, trail rides, word search, and playing board games.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of sixty-one years, Lee Adam Landry; children, Frances LeBlanc (Josh), Ivan Landry (Kelly), and Blaine Landry (Amanda); grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Ashley, Natalie, Emmalee, Lainee, and JP; great-grandchildren, Maddi, Jovi, Aiden, Matthew, Truett, Sophia, Charlie, and Colter. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, James, Charles and Wayne Sonnier.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and resumes Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in her service are Nanette Sonnier, Jonathan Landry, Justin Landry, Patrick Godeaux, Shellie Sonnier, Jon-Patrick Francis. Donna Lynn Godeaux will serve as honorary.
