Beverly Pittman, 69, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away at 10:00 PM on Friday, December 11, 2015.
Mrs. Beverly was a native of Golden Meadows, LA, but lived in Lake Charles for most of her life. She was a graduate of LaGrange High School. After graduation, in 1963, she married Tiny and they celebrated 52 years of marriage this past March. She worked as a Florist at A-Daisy-A-Day Flower Shop with her best friend Pat Rion. Mrs. Beverly was also a successful realtor for Mike D. Bono at Century 21, and was named rookie of the year during her first year of employment. She was the owner and operator of K.D.’s Diner from 1992 until the time of her death. She enjoyed working in her yard, and spending time fishing at her camp on Toledo Bend. She also loved spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Mrs. Beverly’s memory is her husband, Glenn “Tiny” Pittman, of Lake Charles; daughter, Missy Pittman Yates and husband Jimmy, of Lake Charles; son, Jake Pittman and wife Rhonda, of Mobile, AL; sister, Alice Briggs and husband Jay, of Moss Bluff; three grandsons, Jon Nelson, of Lake Charles, Gabe Yates, of Lake Charles, and Jacob Pittman, of Mobile, AL; great granddaughter, Layla Nelson; as well as her dog, Sara.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elridge LeJeune, and Dolly Gaspard.
Funeral services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 14, 2015. Reverend Glenn George will officiate services. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park in Lake Charles.
