Bill Briley

John “Bill” William Briley Jr, 67, passed away on November 29, 2018 at a local hospital.

Bill was born in Church Point, LA and resided in Lake Charles. He served his country in the Vietnam War with the United States Air Force. He was the owner of Briley Paint and Body, Wrecker and Towing. Mr. Briley was a 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus and a Lay Minister. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of forty six years, Deborah Briley; two brothers, Randy Briley, and Steven Briley; three children, Kerri Briley-Garcille (Jarred), Becky Trahan (Jared), Dusty Briley (Laura); five grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Jade Briley, Ty and Briley Garcille, and Wyatt Trahan.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Briley Sr.; mother, Delia Briley; and brother, David Briley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Henry Catholic Church at 11AM on Saturday, December 1st. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Father Jeffery Starkovich will officiate. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 5PM to 8PM on Friday, November 30 with a rosary at 6PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30AM until 10:30AM.
