Bill Sandifer, 75, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

He was born in DeRidder, LA to Joseph and Effie Sandifer on July 15, 1948.
He will be remembered as a loving husband and father with strong faith in the Lord.
It has been said that Bill could fix anything and was a jack of all trades. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army before enjoying a career as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival. Bill was a gentle, quiet, patient, and caring man who will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his daughter, Nadia Derouen (Josh); granddaughter, Elianah Derouen; stepsons, Aaron Lopez (Dina) and Kendal Lopez (Karen); step-grandchildren, Corey Lopez and Mea Richard; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Sandifer; his parents; and four siblings.

His funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Hom of Moss Bluff on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. Rev. Charlie Miller will officiate. Burial will take place in Old Ritchie Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service.
