Billie Levine Schoolsky, 83, of Lake Charles passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Resthaven Nursing Home after a six year battle with Dementia with her husband, Sam, at her side.
Born Billie Margaret Stuckey in Alexandria, LA, Billie had lived in Lake Charles for over 50 years. She also lived in France for four years and travelled most of Europe. Having studied Clay and porcelain art in Mexico and Spain, Billie was a recognized porcelain artist and well known for her magnificent lace draped porcelain dolls and had a large collection in her home. She also was a successful business woman having succeeded over the years in many ventures.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Schoolsky; daughter, Rhonda Christopher and husband Michael of Metairie; daughter, Cheri Levine of Metairie; son, William Levine and wife Julynn of San Diego, CA; daughter-in-law, Mellisa Levine of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronnie Levine and a son, Mark Levine.
As per her request, there will be an immediate private family service at Johnson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Temple Sinai of Lake Charles, where she attended with her husband.
