Billy "BJ" Smith

Billy Joe Smith (BJ), 66, Passed away Sunday, February 1st, 2026, at his home in Sulphur, Louisiana.

A long-time resident of Muncie, Indiana, BJ was a blessing to many throughout his life. He was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle and friend to many.

Known for his love of classic Western movies and television shows, being an avid and passionate Indianapolis Colts fan, BJ loved nothing more than spending time with his Grandchildren. Always the Character, he will forever be loved and remembered.

He is survived by Spouse Elizabeth, Children Steven (Cam), Amanda (Tommy) Jamie (Cody), and Randy, Mother Francis, Sisters Kathy, Paula, Anita and Sharon, 12 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Father Ralph, Brother Eugene, Sisters Tammy and Gisele, Son Jeremy and Grandson Mason.

Memorial Services will take place on Tuesday February 10, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home in Sulphur, LA. Visitation hours are from 2pm-4pm with service beginning at 4pm.
