Billy Wayne Potts of Lake Charles, born March 19, 1948, son of the late Monroe Wesley Potts, Jr. and Betty Jean McGinty Potts, passed away in Baton Rouge on September 13, 2020, at the age of 72.
Billy was a graduate of Central High School in Baton Rouge and attended McNeese State University. He worked at Haliburton, Bass Energy and was a supervisor contractor for Construction Site Services. He enjoyed fishing, and working in his shop.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas Owen Potts.
Billy is survived by his wife, Donna Potts; children, Jeffrey Alan Potts; Stephen Ralph Potts (Jennifer); Tyler Wayne Potts (Amanda); Brent Henry Fontenot; Spring Fontenot Racca; siblings, Kenneth Wesley Potts; Robert Paul Potts (Tommie Joyce); 13 grandchildren.
As per his request, Billy’s cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
Memorial services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10 a.m. Visitation will continue after the service until 12 p.m.
