Bobby “T-Bob” Gerald Jeter, Jr., 58, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was born on October 13, 1967, in Pineville, Louisiana, to Bobby Gerald Jeter, Sr. and Cynthia Barber Jeter.
Bobby grew up in Moss Bluff, Louisiana, and was a graduate of Sam Houston High School. He went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Theology from World Harvest Bible College, where he graduated summa cum laude. His faith, his life experiences, and his genuine care for others helped shape the man he became.
Bobby had a charismatic personality and a heart for people. He loved sports, was an avid golfer, and at one time served as a high school referee. Through the years, he also worked as a car salesman with Navarre Chevrolet in Lake Charles and was a certified rigger and crane operator.
Bobby’s most meaningful work was found in his role as a Rehabilitation Counselor, a calling he took very seriously. As a Counselor in Training at The Grove and Serenity Treatment Centers, and throughout his work helping those battling addiction, Bobby encouraged countless people as they worked toward healing and recovery. He was a mentor to many, not only to his sons, but to others who needed guidance, honesty, and hope.
Above all, Bobby loved his family. He adored his grandchildren and took great joy in the time he shared with them. His presence, personality, and love will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Bobby’s life will be remembered for the people he helped, the family he loved, and the steady encouragement he offered to those who needed it most. May his memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two sons, Gavin G. Jeter, and Kade C. Jeter and wife Erica; his grandchildren, Adiley Jeter, Blaiklee Jeter, Saylor Jeter, Karrington Jeter, Kreed Jeter, and Kayson Savoy; his former wife and friend, Kasha Jeter; his mother, Cynthia Jeter; his sister, Candyce Jeter; his nephew, Jaxson Jeter; and his niece, Carleigh Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby G. Jeter, Sr.
