“Bozo” Chester Wayne Clark, born in Jennings, LA, son of the late Arthur Lee Clark, Sr., M.D., and Zella Beatrice Kimrey Clark, passed away in his residence after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, August 26, 2022, at the age of 70.
Bozo, a 1970 graduate of Iowa High School and later McNeese State University, excelled at football, later teaching at Iowa High School and Gillis Elementary, and coaching at Iowa High School and Sam Houston High School. He coached football, basketball, and softball for 27 years leaving a positive influence on the community. He enjoyed McNeese and LSU football, and being outdoors, especially fishing. He loved hosting an annual 4th of July celebration with family and friends on the bayou.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Arthur Lee Clark, Jr., Sunshine Clark, and Bubbles Clark Buller, grandson, Bryan Clark.
Bozo is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Donna Jean (Trahan) Clark; sons, Jeremy Wayne Clark (Rose), Michael Christopher Clark (Harmonie), Jeromy King (Mellie), and Joshua Aaron King (Malia); siblings, Diane “Snookie” Mallett, Harry Clark (Peggy), and Bobby Clark (Cathy); grandchildren, Landon, Cameron, Kayla, Isabella, Gennaro, Kennedy, Cooper Clark, and Reese.
The viewing for family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday August 30th, 2022 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Cremation will follow under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
A Celebration of Bozo’s life will be held at a later date.
