Brandon Holland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brandon Keith Holland, 44, of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Brandon was born on October 17, 1980, and left us on April 24, 2025. He was a beloved son, devoted father, and a cherished friend.

Brandon was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. During his time in the military he traveled to places like Germany, Greece, Italy, and France. He served his country in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait.

He loved guns and spent countless hours tinkering and building out his next rifle. Archery was another one of his passions, along with building RC cars and whatever else he could take apart and put back together. Brandon also had a green thumb, and grew many exotic plants around his house.

Brandon always had sketch books full of his drawings. He had a passion and talent for art which he passed down to Gracelyn. Brandon's love for sneakers, jerseys, and hats was well-known, and he loved spending time with his Mom and Pop watching Saints football and relaxing outside. One of Brandon's greatest joys in life was on Tuesday afternoons when he spent time with his "Trusty Sidekick," Gracelyn, his cherished daughter. He was sweet, artistic, deep, silly, and loved beyond measure.

He appreciated good food and showed it by bringing his own Tupperware for leftovers, loved good music, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Brandon's free spirit and big heart touched the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him.

Brandon is survived by his mother, Kristi Cormier, step-father, Lyle Cormier, father, Keith Holland, daughter, Gracelyn Holland, Gracelyn's mother Erika Holland, sister, Tori Mouhot, brother-in-law, Alex Mouhot, brother, Devin Holland, and niece, Eleanor Mouhot. Brandon also leaves behind his two beloved dogs, Winnie and Beau.

Brandon is preceded in death by his grandparents and beloved pet dog, Sophie.

A memorial service in Brandon's honor will take place on April 30, 2025 at 11:00am at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff, with a graveside service to follow at Southwest Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery, beginning at 1:30 pm.

Brandon will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live in the hearts of his family and friends.
