Brenda G. Peshoff Conner

Brenda Gayle Peshoff Conner, 77, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was born on March 13, 1948, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Gilbert and Ruby Benoit Peshoff.

Brenda was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles until 2010, when she and her husband moved to their beloved home at Bundick’s Lake. The quiet beauty of the lake suited her perfectly.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Brenda’s life was centered around her family. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, hosting gatherings filled with laughter, food, and fun. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she and Charles delighted in creating a spectacular Christmas Village that became a family tradition. Her kitchen was always warm with the smell of homemade cakes, cookies, and pies, each one baked with love.

Brenda also enjoyed game nights with family and friends, especially when Uno or Dominoes were on the table. She loved to travel, particularly to Colorado for family ski trips, creating memories her loved ones will always treasure.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 61 years, Charles James Conner; her children, Richard James Conner, and Kayla Leger (Tommy); her grandchildren, Scott Dartez, Jessica Dartez, and Theresa Leger; and her sisters, Marilyn Conner and Darlene Peshoff. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Gary Peshoff.

Brenda’s life was one of love, kindness, and simple joy. Her gentle spirit and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the light and love she shared so freely in this life.

Brenda’s funeral will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel with Msgr. Daniel Torres presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service, with a rosary being recited at 2:00 PM. Brenda will be laid to rest on Monday, November 3, 2025 in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
