Brenda Gayle Gauthier

Evangelist Brenda Gayle Gauthier was born to the union of the late Lillian Anderson Bellard and the late Wallace Bellard, Sr. She was baptized by the late Rev. C. J. Jones at Macedonia Baptist Church in Ville Platte, LA. She later re-dedicated her life to Christ with the St. James Baptist Church in Vinton, LA under the leadership of Rev. Warren Thomas. Evangelist Gauthier remained a very faithful member until her departure. She was ordained as a minister by Pastor Warren Thomas on June 3, 1990. Evangelist Brenda Gauthier was married to Lee Rogers Gauthier and to this union, three children were born. She was a loving, caring and compassionate wife, mother, sister, and aunt and a friend to everyone; but most of all to God and our savior Jesus Christ. Cherishing the memories of life will be: her husband, Lee Rogers Gauthier of Sulphur, LA; two sons: Jaworski D. Gauthier of Sulphur, LA and Joseph K. Gauthier of Lake Charles, LA; one daughter, Kimberlin D. Gauthier of Ville Platte, La; seven sisters: Jessilee (Harold) Simien of Vinton, LA; Albert Jack, Freida (Eddie) Wilson, Sr., Jacquelin (Larry) Jack, Juanita (David) Freeman and Carla M. Bellard all of Mamou, LA and Marla Simien of Opelousas, LA; four brothers: Rev. Wallace (Salinda) Bellard, Jr. of Oberlin, LA, Cedric Bellard, Christopher Bellard and Jamie (Lisa) Bellard all of Mamou, LA; six grandchildren: Kaworski Matthews, Latifa Matthews, Shakilya Gauthier, Aquino Gauthier, Jakayla and Kaylin Gauthier; one great-grandchild, Nariah Jack; and a host of Godchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11 A.M. at St. James Baptist Church, 1020 Eddie St., Vinton, LA. Burial will be in Edgerly Memorial Cemetery in Edgerly. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the church from 9 A.M. until time of the service.
